Raju and I, we know each other from when I joined Disney in 2012 and he was the CFO & Head of Strategy for Disney SEA region. Raju left Disney in 2016. Our paths fortunately crossed again in 2017, when I sought Raju as my career coach as I was transitioning jobs. The coaching journey with Raju, if I may say, it turned out to be a life-changing point for me.
His pleasant, calming and down-to-earth personality made me feel very comfortable and safe to be transparent with him on my shortcomings and what are my real struggles/challenges in finding my next career. Sessions with Raju had always been inspirational, motivating, and full of positive vibes. Even when he challenged me, I felt respected. Raju is highly responsive to email and communication platforms, regardless of how busy he is. This is one of his keys to show his respect to everyone he works with. Raju is generous and unreserved in sharing knowledge and life lessons. Always insightful, practical, compact, and intensive but never imposing them on you. I have gained plenty of fresh ideas, life-time knowledge, and MOST IMPORTANTLY, I learned to think and see things differently & from newer perspectives. Guess what? Most of his tips and coaching ideas are so practical that they are coming in handy even now in my day-to-day routine. I still use them to practice up until today and will likely continue so for a long long time. I would highly recommend Raju as a coach and mentor, at all times. He is an uniquely special talent.
